Resilience Program Coordination Meeting in Ukhiya Highlights
Under the Resilience Program of WFP, as cooperating partners of the Market Linkage and EFSN projects implemented in Ukhiya, RIC, Shushilan and World Vision jointly organized a coordination meeting with government departments in Ukhiya Upazila. In this meeting, RIC played the role of the main coordinator. Ukhiya Upazila Parishad Chairman Principal Hamidul Haque Chowdhury was present as the chief guest in this meeting and Ukhia Upazila Parishad Vice Chairmans were present as a special guest. Honorable Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mr. Imran Hossain Sajib presided over the meeting. Apart from this, District Agricultural Marketing Officer, Upazila Cooperative Officer, Upazila Women's Affairs Officer along with union representatives and other stakeholders of the project were also present in this important coordination meeting. In today's (14.11.2023) meeting, various successes of the project and the progress of various activities of the last 10 months were shared. Honorable UNO and Upazila Parishad Chairman highlighted the significant aspects of the project and gave special appreciation to NGOs and focused on the host community people to evaluate the livelihood and market linkage activities and also suggested to work effectively and innovatively on productions and market linkages for host community people.
